Kimcote Road, Gilmorton, Lutterworth
Out of the lush green Leicestershire countryside rises the beautiful stone spire of All Saints Church, around which lies the
picturesque village of Gilmorton. This traditional English settlement is steeped in history and full of friendly character.
Although peaceful, Gilmorton is a thriving community with plenty to offer. The local village store is a one-stop-shop for all the daily
essentials, comprising a deli, tea room, newsagent, gift shop and post office, and forms a charming community hub. In addition to
this, there are three local pubs which between them offer everything from a traditional pint to a sophisticated dinner. There is also
plenty to keep the kids entertained with a recreation ground, tennis courts and open space, along with a local primary school that is
rated excellent by SIAMS.
A short drive out of the village will take you to the market town of Lutterworth and the village of Broughton Astley, which between
them offer supermarkets, banks, pharmacies, opticians, fitness centres and two of the highest-rated schools in south Leicestershire.
There are also a variety of independent shops and tea rooms to explore. For a little more choice, Leicester’s Fosse Park retail centre
is around 16 minutes away, or alternatively the town of Rugby can be reached in approximately 20 minutes and offers high street
names alongside delightful boutiques, cafés and restaurants. There is also plenty of entertainment including a theatre, multi-screen
cinema, art gallery and museum, plus a selection of exciting festivals and events that take place throughout the year.
Gilmorton is also well-placed for travelling further afield. The M1 motorway is easily reached and will connect you with the M6
heading west to Birmingham and the A14 heading east to Cambridge. Continue south on the M1 for an uninterrupted drive all the
way to the M25 and north London. The village also benefits from strong rail connections with Rugby station just 20 minutes away.
From here, trains will take you to Coventry in nine minutes, Birmingham in 22 minutes and London Euston in 50 minutes, keeping
you fully connected to the city.
