Jamie has been the instrumental figure behind the creation, growth and success of the Homes and Land businesses. His business acumen, vision and record in delivering planning approvals and high quality developments is exceptional, equating to tens of thousands of plots over his career across the Midlands and south of England.
Luke joined the business in March 2019 as Development Director. With over 30 years in the housing industry, Luke brings valuable experience from all aspects of the development process.
Joining from Avant Homes where he rose to Operations Director and helped grow and develop operational disciplines in the Midlands region over a period of 3 years. Previous to this he had spent many years involved in the growth of Persimmon Homes Technical and Commercial departments.
Darren is a qualified Accountant with over 20 years experience in both the Residential Development Industry and the Financial Sector.
Darren joined in October 2012 from Lagan Homes where he set up and ran the Finance Department for the English housing division of Lagan Group. Previous experience in the residential industry have been with Persimmon Homes (Midlands & Thames Valley) running the Finance Departments and working within Group Finance for Wilson Connolly.
In 2014, Darren was promoted from Finance Director to Operations Director widening his remit within the business to ensure effective day to day operational management across all departments.
Simon joined Barwood Homes in February 2019 as Senior Production Manager. Having spent ten years at David Wilson Homes as Senior Site Manager, achieving a number of NHBC awards, including two Seals of Excellence before progressing to Contracts Manager.
Previous to this Simon gained several years experience in managerial roles for Bryant Homes and Taylor Woodrow, so has a wealth of knowledge in the construction industry and brings valuable expertise to the Barwood Homes team.
Liam joined Barwood Homes in November 2014. Liam has over 8 years in the housing industry with a degree in Construction Management.
Liam heads up our team of surveyors and buyers and is responsible for all commercial aspects, including estimating, tendering, procurement through to site completion.
Andy joined Barwood Homes as Technical Director in October 2019 and currently has over 14 years experience in the Technical Department and Construction Industry.
Andy leads our Technical team in detailed design covering both Engineering and Architectural disciplines. He works closely with other departmental heads to ensure a smooth transition throughout the construction process, from land purchase through to aftersales care.
Andy joined Barwood Homes as Land Director in February 2018 and has some 20 years land experience in the development industry, with Kier, Hubert C Leach and Abbey Developments.
Andy heads the land team in identifying and the purchase of suitable sites to meet the company’s immediate and long term development requirements. Andy works closely with landowners, agents and has a team of trusted consultants to ensure every land purchase and application is thoughtfully considered.
Sales & Marketing Director
Mandy has over 35 years experience in the new homes industry working for some of the UK’s award winning developers. Beginning her career as a Sales Advisor, progressing to Sales & Marketing Manager and then becoming the first female Sales & Marketing Director within Berkeley Group.
Through these positions Mandy has gained invaluable knowledge and experience of operations within the residential homes sector. Her expertise spans from involvement ranging from the land acquisition stage to liaising with customers post completion. Mandy has a passion for quality and customer focus. She also has experience with commercial properties, in the UK and overseas.
Customer Care Director
Claire joined Barwood Homes in July 2016 having worked in the housing industry since 1996 spending the majority of those years working within the Persimmon Group across a number of different offices.
Claire has also worked for Barratt Homes & Redrow Homes and has held senior roles within the Customer Care sector since 2005 where she was responsible for setting up new departments and the creation and implementation of customer care policies and procedures.
Ben has been with Barwood Homes since 2013 when he joined as a Management Accountant. Ben has over ten years experience within the construction industry having previously worked in various finance roles at Lagan Homes.
During his time with Barwood Homes, Ben was first promoted to Finance Manager and most recently to the position of Financial Controller. Ben is a part-qualified accountant and member of the Chartered Institute of Management Accountants, and is also a qualified Accounting Technician.
